What it handles

What this system reduces

  • Water hardness (calcium & magnesium)
  • Dissolved clear-water iron
  • Scale on pipes, fixtures & water heaters

We describe the reduction of these substances. Results depend on your incoming water and configuration.

Is the Diamond Soft 30K right for my home?

If your complaints are scale, spotting, stiff laundry and a water heater that died early, the Diamond Soft 30K is the standard fix — it reduces the hardness minerals and dissolved iron driving all of it. It's a demand-initiated (metered) unit, so it's legal on Texas septic systems too. If you also want chlorine, taste and odor handled, step up to the combo. The free test settles which.

Best for

The standard fix for Georgetown-area hard water: scale, spotting, stiff laundry, dead water heaters.

Good to know

Diamond Soft 30K — questions

What size softener do I need in Williamson County?

At the county's ~15.8 grains of hardness, a 30,000-grain softener fits most 2–4 person homes. Larger households or harder well water may size up — we confirm capacity from your water test and household size so it's neither under- nor over-sized.

Is this softener legal on my septic system?

Yes. The Diamond Soft uses demand-initiated regeneration, which is exactly what Texas Health & Safety Code §366.013 requires for homes on septic. Timer-only units can run afoul of that rule; this one doesn't.

How much salt will it use?

It regenerates on demand based on your actual water use, not a fixed timer, so it only uses salt when it needs to — which keeps salt use and running cost down versus old timer-based softeners.
